Austin-based jewelry designer Zoltan David was honored last week at the JCK International Jewelry Show as he was presented with the award of 2005 Jewelry Designer of the Year from the Contemporary Design Group.  Mr. David's emergence in the national jewelry design arena began by making history when he won both the New Design Talent Competition and New Designer of the Year at the JA International Jewelry Show in New York City in 1994.  Since that time he has won numerous national and international design awards.  However this award is particularly significant as he was nominated and voted on by his peers, other nationally prominent jewelry designers of the industry.

His innovation and original concepts continue to influence the jewelry industry.  With superb craftsmanship and limited edition collections, he has redefined the meaning of a true luxury product.  Mr. David has been quoted as saying "Artists do not follow trends, they liberate people from them."
